US President Donald Trump said Monday that Iran has agreed to not posessing a nuclear weapon.
Trump made the statement before departing from West Palm Beach to Mississippi for a roundtable on safety.
The President also confirmed that there has been talks with Iran on a deal to end the war. The talks happened on Sunday and were going to continue on Monday, Trump said.
Trump said that he can't guarantee that a deal will be reached but he sounded optimistic about the chances.
He did not want to say who in the Iranian leadership the US was having discussions with.
Earlier on Monday, the Iranian news agency Fars said that no talks have been taking place between the US and Iran.
