Armenian Ambassador to Germany Viktor Yengibaryan met with Bundestag member Johannes Schraps. The Embassy reported this.
“Last December, Armenia and Germany signed the ‘Strategic Partnership Agenda’ declaration, which defines closer cooperation in the fields of political, economic, development and capacity building, culture, education, science, security and defense. Armenia also signed a ‘Strategic Partnership Agenda’ declaration with the European Union, which in turn defines cooperation in the areas of democracy, rule of law, justice reforms, human rights, socio-economic development, energy security, trade diversification, as well as security and defense.
During the meeting between Ambassador Viktor Yengibaryan and Johannes Schraps (SPD), Deputy Chair of the Bundestag Committee on European Union Affairs, the importance of cooperation with the Bundestag in the context of implementing the signed documents was emphasized.
The Ambassador presented to his interlocutor the current developments in the region and the Armenia–EU integration processes. The interlocutors also touched upon issues related to the normalization of Armenia–Azerbaijan and Armenia–Turkey relations.
