Armenia's Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan, during his official visit to Iran, met with the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, on Wednesday.
“During the meeting, we discussed issues related to regional security and stability, as well as the course and prospects for the development of Armenia-Iran bilateral cooperation,” Papikyan said on social media.
“I emphasized the need to resolve the situation surrounding Iran through diplomatic means," Papikyan said, referring to the U.S.-Iran tensions.
"We also touched upon the security environment concerning Armenia and Iran,” Papikyan added.
Earlier during the visit, the Armenian Defense Minister met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, and Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.
