Laurent Le Bon, President of the Georges Pompidou Center for Art and Culture in Paris, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex today, February 14, accompanied by Marina Hakobyan, Director of the National Gallery of Armenia. The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute reported this. The guests were welcomed by Edita Gzoyan, Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, who accompanied them to the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex and presented the history of the creation of the memorial.
The guests from France laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and observed a minute of silence in memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
The guests listened with great interest, particularly about the pro-Armenian activities of Anatole France and Louis Dartige du Fournet. The Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute presented the monument installed on the territory of the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex dedicated to France’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide on January 29, 2001.
The guests then visited the Armenian Genocide Museum and familiarized themselves with the permanent and temporary exhibitions. At the end of the visit, Mr. Laurent Le Bon made an entry in the Book of Honorary Guests.
