The Iranian army is on high alert in response to a possible confrontation with the United States, Iranian Army Commander-in-Chief Amir Hatami said.
"We are on high alert and are closely monitoring the enemy's movements in the region. Iran is not a country that can be destroyed," Khatami said, warning that an attempt to attack Iran would threaten Israel's security.
The official also noted that neighboring countries will not allow their territories and airspace to be used to attack Iran.
"This is a commendable position, as they realize that any action against Iran will lead to destabilization of the entire region," he noted.
