Armenia is interested in the situation in Iran remaining stable, Vice Speaker of Parliament Ruben Rubinyan said on Monday.
“We are interested that the situation in Iran remains stable, and we hope that it will. As for joint projects, there will be absolutely no threat under any circumstances,” Rubinyan said at a press briefing when asked about the ongoing demonstrations in the Islamic Republic, as well as the possible impact on economic projects agreed upon by the two countries.
The inflation-related demonstrations began in Iran on December 28, 2025, and have turned into calls for regime change. Thousands of deaths have been reported, including both civilians and security forces. Iran has blamed “foreign-backed terrorists” for inciting the violence, while several Western countries have accused the Iranian government of a violent crackdown on peaceful protesters.
