The approval of the Armenia–EU strategic partnership agenda marks an important change and development in bilateral relations. As for investments, following the Washington agreements and the announcement of the TRIPP Route project, investment interest toward Armenia has significantly increased. We are interested in ensuring that the EU, among others, has a concrete role and presence in infrastructure development. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a government briefing, responding to a question about what investments are expected under the “Crossroads of Peace” project within the signing of the Armenia–EU strategic document.
“Our future relations with the EU will deepen and develop, and of course, within the Crossroads of Peace, including the TRIPP Route project, we expect concrete EU investment programs and participation.
By the way, we continue our active work on refining the strategic framework of the TRIPP Route project. We are working on the documents, and I can say—with my own sense of scale—that we are moving forward at a good pace. Within the timeframe we have indicated, we will already have the implementation of the TRIPP Route project, initially through the development and adoption of legal and conceptual documents, followed by agreements, and then practical work on the ground,” he said.
On December 2, within the framework of the 6th Armenia–EU Partnership Council meeting, the “Armenia–EU Strategic Partnership Agenda” document was signed.
