Reuters. Russian Foreign minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday (November 25) avoided direct answer to a reporter's question about Russian-American talks on peace plan for Ukraine in Abu Dhabi.
The channels of communication between Russian and U.S.A are in place but Russian diplomacy, which works professionally, never leaks any information until final agreements are reached, Lavrov said.
He added that Russia remains committed to "understandings" reached in Anchorage during the Alaska summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S.President Donald Trump last August.
The latest U.S. peace proposal, a 28-point plan that emerged last week, caught many in the U.S. government, Kyiv and Europe off-guard and prompted fresh concerns that the Trump administration might be willing to push Ukraine to sign a peace deal heavily tilted toward Moscow.
U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll held talks on late on Monday and Tuesday with Russian officials in Abu Dhabi as part of an intense new push by President Donald Trump's administration to end the war in Ukraine, Driscoll's spokesperson said.
