Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan met with U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker on Monday in Yerevan.
Foreign Minister Mirzoyan and Under Secretary Hooker discussed “the development of the Armenia-U.S. strategic partnership,” the Foreign Ministry said in a readout.
“Both sides emphasized their readiness to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including energy, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and investment promotion,” the Foreign Ministry said.
“I am pleased to note the active dynamics of political dialogue aimed at expanding the Armenia–U.S. bilateral agenda, enriching the strategic partnership with new substance and concrete initiatives, as well as the continued U.S. engagement in the consistent consolidation of the established peace,” said Minister Mirzoyan.
“The discussion touched upon the ongoing work to implement the agreements reached in Washington on August 8. Marking the symbolic 100th day since the Washington Peace Summit, Ararat Mirzoyan and Allison Hooker noted the progress achieved so far in implementing the agreements, as well as the tasks that remain. Views were exchanged on the preparatory work needed to build the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity [TRIPP] project. The importance of the project was emphasized in terms of developing a broader network of transport and other connections across the region. Ararat Mirzoyan and Allison Hooker also exchanged views on other regional issues,” the Foreign Ministry added.
