Hamas has handed over to Israel the body of another hostage, which was transferred from southern Gaza to Tel Aviv via the Red Cross for identification. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have demanded that the group continue implementing the ceasefire agreement and deliver the remaining bodies.
There have been previous cases where the bodies returned by the group did not belong to those captured on October 7. If identification confirms that the recovered body belongs to one of the Israeli hostages, Hamas will still be required to return five more bodies out of a total of 28.
The Palestinian group stated that it is working to complete the process as soon as possible, but most of the bodies remain under the rubble, complicating the search. Donald Trump warned that if Hamas violates the ceasefire terms and fails to return all the bodies, Israel will resume military operations.
