A delegation headed by India’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Secretary in charge of the Western Division, Sibi George, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial on November 7, accompanied by Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan and India’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Nilakshi Saha Sinha.
The guests were welcomed by Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Edita Gzoyan, who accompanied them to the memorial and presented the history of its establishment. Mr. Sibi George laid a wreath at the memorial commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide, after which the guests laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and honored the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide with a minute of silence.
The members of the delegation from India then toured the Armenian Genocide Museum, where they were guided by AGMI (Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute) tour guide Meri Yeghikyan and became acquainted with the permanent and temporary exhibitions. Afterwards, Mr. Sibi George made an entry in the Honorary Guest Book. Expressing gratitude for the visit, AGMI Director Edita Gzoyan presented the high-ranking guest with books about the Armenian Genocide.
