As reported earlier, Kakha Kaladze, the mayoral candidate from the ruling Georgian Dream party, has received more than 71 percent of the votes in Tbilisi. The Central Election Commission of Georgia announced this after processing 100 percent of the ballots.
According to the CEC, candidates from the ruling Georgian Dream party have been elected mayors in Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi, Batumi, and Poti.
Kakha Kaladze won the Tbilisi mayoral election with 71.58 percent of the vote, receiving a total of 214,872 votes.
In second place is Irakli Kupradze, the joint candidate of the opposition parties Strong Georgia – Lelo and For Georgia – Gakharia, who was supported by 12.27 percent of voters.
