Dear compatriots, on August 23, 1990, the Supreme Council of the Armenian SSR (Soviet Socialist Republic) adopted the Declaration of Independence of Armenia. On that day, the Armenian people reaffirmed their right to live freely and independently determine their own destiny.
The path to independence was not easy. However, recent events have opened up new historical opportunities for our state, further strengthening the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia.
Today, more than ever, we realize the value of our independence and sovereignty. It is peace that strengthens our independence, gives us the opportunity to develop our country and ensure a dignified life for our citizens. Now we are not only independent, but also peaceful, of course, also thanks to the wise decisions of our people.
Dear compatriots, I congratulate you on the 35th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence of Armenia. May our independence and peace be eternal, ensuring the prosperous and secure lives of our citizens.
