Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the newly appointed Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization, Nasser Al-Nuaimi.
The Prime Minister congratulated him on assuming the position and wished him success in his future activities. Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the close cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the UN World Tourism Organization in the direction of the continuous development of the tourism sector in our country. Nikol Pashinyan noted that this year in the tourism sector of the Republic of Armenia, a positive dynamics of visits has been recorded and highlighted the importance of the preparation of regional tourism packages with the support of the organization. At the same time, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for the organization's support in the development of the Tourism Strategy.
Nasser Al-Nuaimi expressed readiness to cooperate with the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the above-mentioned directions and emphasized that there is a great potential for the development of the sector in Armenia. According to him, in order to fully realize it, the UN World Tourism Organization will continue active cooperation and dialogue with Armenian partners.
