Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev considers the declaration on a peaceful settlement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, signed in Washington, to be a historically significant achievement that has put an end to a long-standing military conflict. This was stated by the president’s press secretary, Ruslan Zheldybay.
“President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev regards the peace agreement signed in Washington between Azerbaijan and Armenia as a historically important achievement. The document ended a long-standing military conflict between the two states and opened the way to establishing diplomatic relations and developing cooperation between them on the basis of lasting peace,” Zheldybay wrote on his Telegram channel.
