Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, on the occasion of the National Day. The message reads:
“Honorable Mr. President, dear Emmanuel,
I warmly congratulate and extend my best wishes to you and the fraternal French people on the occasion of the National Day of France.
This day, which is of great importance for the French people, provides the best opportunity to once again emphasize the special role of France in consolidating and promoting the noble universal values of freedom, equality and fraternity, as well as to reaffirm our shared commitment to making them a reality for the benefit of our citizens and states.
I would like to emphasize that the historical ties between Armenia and France, anchored in these universal values and the centuries-old friendship uniting the Armenian and French peoples, have been of key importance in the development of our interstate relations.
I would like to note with particular gratitude that the privileged relations between our two countries, as evidenced by the established close high-level political dialogue and the effective cooperation in all areas of bilateral cooperation, have today developed into a strategic partnership, thanks to your steadfast commitment.
I am pleased to emphasize that cooperation between our two countries now encompasses such important areas as the fight against climate change, the protection of biodiversity, as well as artificial intelligence. In this context, I would like to reiterate Armenia’s commitment to contributing to the efforts to address these global challenges.
We also highly appreciate the continued important support of friendly France and your personal efforts aimed at establishing fair and lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
I congratulate you once again on this symbolic day for the French people and convey to my best wishes for peace and prosperity.
With great anticipation of hosting you in Armenia on a state visit this year, please accept, Honorable Mr. President, the assurances of my highest consideration.
Warmly, Nikol Pashinyan.”
