“I lit a candle in Holy Mother of God Patriarchal Church [Surp Asdvadzadzin Patriarchal Church] in Istanbul,” the Prime Minister wrote on social media and posted a video.
As part of his working visit, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Holy Mother of God Patriarchal Church in Istanbul.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Chairman of the Church Council Hrant Maskafyan, the Second Chairman Minas Arslan, as well as the Director of the Armenian School attached to the church, Clothia Temir. Prime Minister Pashinyan toured the church, lit candles, and got acquainted with the conditions of community life.
During the visit, the Prime Minister also visited the preschool and the Armenian school, getting acquainted with educational programs and community initiatives on site.
