Armenia’s Crossroads of Peace is an economic project aimed at unblocking connections in the South Caucasus region and creating interconnectivity to promote peace and stability, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan said at the Yerevan Dialogue 2025 forum.
He presented the project at a panel discussion on South Caucasus.
“The government of Armenia presented this proposal to regional countries, as well as the global community, to get involved in the project, which has great possibilities to bring prosperity and stability,” Grigoryan said.
“The peace process has many components, one of them being economic relations between regional countries,” he added, noting that countries beyond the region can also join the project.
He highlighted that the unblocking must take place on the basis of sovereignty, reciprocity and jurisdiction of the countries.
“Armenia is currently implementing many projects that are part of the Crossroads of Peace, for example the construction of the North-South highway, which is highly important in terms of interconnectivity, but also implies Armenian infrastructure development. The government of Armenia has been intensively making investments in infrastructures in the past years, bringing them to a level where they can interconnect with regional infrastructures. We are inviting regional countries and the global community to get involved in this process and contribute to regional peace,” Grigoryan said.
