Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met the Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, Georgian Public Broadcaster reports.
“The meeting reviewed the historical friendly relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan, along with key aspects of their strategic partnership and cooperation in both regional and international contexts.
The parties focused on ongoing developments in the South Caucasus region and Georgia-Azerbaijani-Turkiye trilateral cooperation.
Mikheil Kavelashvili remarked that Georgia will continue to play a key role in promoting peace and stability in the region. He thanked Azerbaijan for its unwavering support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty”, the message reads.
