Fierce fighting continued on multiple fronts as Russia claimed on Friday to have conducted several cluster strikes on Ukraine, while Ukraine reported of repelling Russian attacks, according to their latest updates on the conflict, Reuters reports.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that in the past week, the Russian military has carried out eight cluster strikes on Ukrainian targets and has controlled seven settlements in Donetsk region and Kharkiv region.
It also reported that in the Kursk region, about 63 percent of the areas initially occupied by Ukrainian armed forces have been controlled by Russia, covering an area of about 801 square kilometers.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on the same day that the Ukrainian missile force hit locations where Russian military personnel were concentrated, Russian command post and the Russian air defense system.
By Friday afternoon, 97 battles had been reported on the front line. The Ukrainian army has repelled the Russian attacks in the directions of Kharkiv, Kupyansk and Pokrovsk.
And Ukraine has continued to carry out operations in the direction of Kursk.
