Georgian opposition protesters took to the streets of the Georgian capital for the 13th consecutive day of protests against the government’s decision to postpone European Union accession talks after disputed elections.

Georgia Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced at the end of November that Georgia would suspend accession talks. The announcement was followed by a wave of protests that were met with a police crackdown.
