A huge fire engulfed a second-hand market in Iraq’s Erbil late on Tuesday (February 27), according to media reports, Reuters reports.
The fire was said to have been caused by an electrical short circuit, according to Iraqi Kurdish TV channel Rudaw, who reported that hundreds of shops at the busy Langa bazar burned down.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control after a few hours, Rudaw added.
