The Taliban announced the formation of an interim Government in Afghanistan on Tuesday, declaring the country ‘Islamic Emirate’. Almost all 33 ministers and their deputies are under international sanctions of UN or separate countries or are wanted, TASS reports.
Hassan Akhund, who is the country's Prime Minister, was a member of the Taliban's first government from 1996 to 2001, and another Taliban leader, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar is now Akhund's deputy.
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation promised $ 5 million to find Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani.
Many Taliban leaders have been temporarily relieved of UN sanctions in order to take part in international talks. Most probably, the UN Security Council will extend this temporary suspension.
