“Violation of the border of the Republic of Armenia in the Sotk-Khoznavar section by Azerbaijan since May 12 is unacceptable. We reaffirm our proposal to resolve the crisis in the Sotk-Khoznavar section by means of a mirroring withdrawal of the subdivision from the Armenian-Azerbaijan border, deploying the Russian border guards and international observers, which may create the necessary conditions for the demarcation and delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. We also reaffirm our previous readiness to resume peace talks.
There is no alternative to peace and stability in the region, the Government of the Republic of Armenia is committed to fulfilling the mandate received from the people of the Republic of Armenia to open an era of peaceful development for Armenia, Artsakh and the region in general,” Armenia’s Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the Government session.
