European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen reiterated that they would never accept a two-state solution for Cyprus, Ermenihaber reports.
Von der Leyen made the remarks while addressing a press conference at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on the occasion of the launch of the Slovenian EU Presidency.
Leyen reminded that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay a visit to the self-proclaimed Republic of Northern Cyprus on July 20, and she said that EU will carefully follow the visit and will categorically reject any proposal to establish two states.
