Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke about the detention and removal to Turkey of Orhan Inandi and other 100 people who are associated with the movement of opposition theologian Fethullah Gulen, according to Milliyet.tv.
On the evening of July 6, Erdogan spoke at a meeting of the presidential cabinet and said that Turkey continues to fight and eliminate the supporters of the banned organization.
“More than 100 people were brought to Turkey from abroad as part of the fight against FETO. As a result of the patient efforts of the Turkish special services, Orhan Inandi, the general director of FETO in Central Asia, was brought to our country and brought to justice,” Erdogan said.
Orkhan Inandi, a Kyrgyz citizen and president of the Turkish school network, disappeared in Bishkek on May 31. On June 6, Orhan’s wife Reikhan Inandi recorded a video message in which she said that her husband could be kept in the building of the Turkish embassy.
However, on June 10, the press secretary of the Kyrgyz president said that the disappearance of Inandi was discussed at a meeting of the two heads of state. “President Sadyr Japarov asked his colleague Recep Tayyip Erdogan about Orkhan Inandi, missing in Kyrgyzstan. Recep Tayyip Erdogan replied that he did not know him, he had no information and that he didn’t want to hear anything about FETO supporters,” the spokesman said.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan claimed that Inandi was wanted by Interpol. However, on the Interpol website, his name was not on the wanted list.
