Instability in the Turkish foreign exchange market continues, Ermenihaber reports. The Turkish national currency, the Turkish lira, which has been depreciating sharply against the euro, the dollar and the pound sterling for the past year, reached a historic record of depreciation on May 25.
The exchange rate of one euro is set at 10-32 Turkish lira. This index is a new record in the history of the Turkish lira.
The previous anti-record was registered on May 14 at the rate of 1 euro for 10.30 Turkish lira.
Recent geopolitical developments contribute to the devaluation of the lira.
