The governing body of the "For the Republic" party headed by the independent NA deputy Arman Babajanyan made a statement.
"We condemn the march led by the political forces demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister of Armenia on December 5 to the government residence, where the official's family and minor children live.
This is an unprecedented encroachment on the right to life and family life, personal space, which in a democratic state can not be considered a moral means of political struggle.
During the nearly twenty years of political struggle, the opposition has never made an attempt to direct the people to the government residence, but only to the official's workplace. Even in April 2018, the inadmissible actions taken near the houses of the NA deputies on their own initiative were not approved by the organizers of the rallies.
What happened is doubly worrying in the context of the information that many of the organizers of today's rally and march were the supporters of the brutal beating of NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan on November 9-10, the perpetrators of large-scale riots in the National Assembly.
We strongly condemn and consider inadmissible the formation of such an inadmissible precedent. The means to achieve the declared goal must remain exclusively political, at the same time within the limits of restraint and morality", the statement reads.
