The Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a sitting of the professional committee on Constitutional Reforms in the government today. In his speech, the Prime Minister noted.
"Dear members of the Constitutional Reform Commission, the commission has been operating for a long time, and I must honestly say that I am one of those who do not think that the country's constitution should be changed frequently.
But I must also say that especially in this period I have come to the conclusion that we do not only need to make constitutional changes, but we need to adopt a de jure new Constitution.
Usually the amendments to the Constitution are made for political reasons, we have such experience. But now I have come to the conclusion that there is no political need to change the new Constitution, but there is a state need to adopt a new Constitution".
