Today RA NA President Ararat Mirzoyan received in Yerevan the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Artsakh Republic Arthur Tovmasyan.
Welcoming the newly elected Speaker of the Artsakh NA, Ararat Mirzoyan expressed confidence that Arthur Tovmasyan's activity in the new status will be more than effective, and in that sense the work of the parliaments of the two Armenian republics will greatly benefit.
The Speaker of the Artsakh NA emphasized that two states have established traditions in the both legislative field and in the platform of political discussions, which need to be further enriched. In this context he referred to the importance of the work of the Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation between two parliaments.
The parties touched upon also the issue of further improvement of the skills of the staff of Artsakh National Assembly and in this context stressed the need to establish close contacts at the level of heads of staff of the two parliaments and exchange experience between the staffs.
