The National Assembly will hold new PM election a week later.
The extraordinary session of the National Assembly for electing a new Prime Minister ended seconds ago. The voting took place at the end of the session, lasted for over 8 hours. 45 from the 102 lawmakers present voted for Nikol Pashinyan, 56 MPs voted against him. Three MPs were absent, two from Tsarukyan Alliance, one from the RPA.
According to the Constitution, the National Assembly will hold new PM election a week later. The parties will nominate new PM candidates and will vote again in another extraordinary session. If they fail to elect a PM again, snap elections will be held.
