Naturally, Azerbaijan tried to hinder the resolution ahead of the Eastern Partnership Summit.
With the majority of votes, the European Parliament adopted a resolution in its plenary session, which openly recognizes the right to self-determination of the people of Artsakh. According to Armenpress, Azerbaijan tried to hinder the resolution ahead of the Eastern Partnership Summit by presenting over 20 addendums against the peaceful settlement process of Artsakh issue and against Armenia. However, the Azerbaijani efforts failed thanks to the Permanent Mission of Armenia in Brussels and the local national lobbyist organizations. The right to self-determination of Artsakh people is once again established.
