The organization believes Lapshin’s imprisonment is permissiveness, and he might become subject to Azerbaijani tortures and ill-treatment. What concerns Belarus authorities, according to Amnesty International, Minsk failed to fulfill its international human rights obligations.
Lapshin’s wife sent an open letter to Israeli (given the fact that Lapshin is as well citizen of Israel) requesting to turn to Baku demanding his release. The letter was published on Change.org.
