Participant of Eurovision 2016 Iveta Mukuchyan and Armenian delegation met today with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden Artak Apitonyan.
Participant of Eurovision 2016 Iveta Mukuchyan and Armenian delegation met today with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden Artak Apitonyan. The meeting focused on the discussion of activities carried out within the framework of the contest, as well as their next steps.
After greeting the guests, Ambassador Artak Apitonyan expressed his willingness to support the delegetaion of Armenia on any issue. “I have no doubts concerning our expectations in the contest, since Armenian performance is currently among the frequently discussed ones”. I do really wish good luck to Iveta both on the stage, and in her life, in general. I do hope Aremnia will be among top places.”
Head of Armenian delegation to Eurovision, Gohar Gasparyan, thanked the Ambassador for the warm reception, saying: “We are really flattered that you stand by us and are ready to help if need arises.” She also added that they are doing their best to make the name of Armenia sound in a possibly larger scope.
Iveta Mukuchyan expressed her gratitude on her behalf, stating, “Together we can overcome many things. This is the characteristic trait for Armenians that makes them differ from the rest of nations.”
“Eurovision 2016” is scheduled in Stockholm, on May 10, 12 and 14: Armenia will perform the 7th at the first semifinal on May 10.
