The "Treasures of Odzun" and barbeque festival brought hundreds of guests to Lori

The guests and tourists didn't miss the opportunity to purchase the rarely found natural beeswax honey.

There was an unusual fuss on the roads leading to Odzun and Akhtala villages of Lori on September 12. Thousands of guests were on the road to participated in the two notable events of the region, the barbeque festival and "Treasures of Odzun" festival.

The yard of Odzun Culture House for already fourth year is turned into a festival of agriculture products. The representatives of villages of Lori and various other regions brought their agriculture products to exhibit and sell, from herbs and teas to honey and different canned food. The festival is already for the fourth year organized by the G2IA French organization.

Nvard Abrahamyan from Karmir Aghek village of Lori region participates in the "Treasures of Odzun" festival for the third time. The presented product always has innovations. The pavilion given to the community this year was bigger than the previous ones. During the best time of the harvest honey, fruits, dried fruits, homemade vodka and herbal teas were brought to Odzun.

The festival also had guests from other regions. One of the brands of Saghmosavan village of Aragatsotn region is honey. The inhabitants of Lori were amazed with the beekeeping traditions of Saghmosavan people.

And the guests and tourists didn't miss the opportunity to purchase the rarely found natural beeswax honey.

Besides the agriculture products festival a cultural event was also organized in the yard of Culture House. Quizzes, national dances and games. And 67 years old tightrope walker Vladimir Hakobyan is in the list of permanent guests. Something would be definitely missed without him.

After the "Treasures of Odzun" festival the turn came to the barbeque festival. For seven consecutive years only one day the yard of the Akhtala monastery complex is filled with the barbeque aroma.

The barbeque festival brings representatives of dozens of Armenian restaurants and single cooks to Lori region. Such a variety of barbeques place on barbecue places is different to find and the Akhtala festival has no rivals in that.

The absolute winner of the 7th barbeque festival was the team of Beer Academy beerhouse.

The cook Ashot Tumasyan didn't talk much, he was keeping his secrets. He didn't want to tell the recipe of the winning barbeque made of beef, he said it's a "military secret".

In an interview with journalists Sedrak Mamulyan happily mentioned that the festival becomes more massive each year turning Akhtala into the main tourist attraction of Lori.
