The Politiological Analysis of Serzh Sargsyan’s Speech
Armenia’s President came as a pan-Armenian leader at the UN General Assembly and as the protector of the rights of the national minorities in Armenia.
Politologist Karen Bekaryan, President of the “European Integration” NGO, touched upon the key messages of the President’s speech.
He says the President’s speech totally touched upon the external priorities for Armenia, and it was inclusive.
He clearly formulated the already professional status of the OSCE MG in regulation of the NK issue and the motivation behind Azerbaijan’s efforts to change the format of the negotiations.
Re –the hints on Nagorno-Karabakh considering the Armenian-Turkish protocols to be ratified in the neighbouring country only in case of concessions by Armenia, the politologist says “to hell with your ratification” statement by the President quoting his people was a clear message first of all for Turkey. Then to the mediators directly or indirectly involved in the process of signing Turkish-Armenian protocols.
