European Parliament endorsed today the European Commission proposal to provide ATMs for Made In Armenia products in a vote 583 in favor, 49 against, Tigran Balayan, Armenia’s Ambassador to Luxembourg, Belgium and Head of Mission of Armenia to EU said.
“Loyal to its principles and steadfast in its position, the temple of European democracy- European Parliament - has endorsed the European Commission proposal to provide ATMs for Made In Armenia products. Another meaningful step for Armenia–EU partnership!”, Balayan said in a post on social media.
Earlier, the Council of the European Union approved a proposal to introduce temporary trade liberalization measures for Armenian products. Under the proposed preferential regime, around 80 percent of Armenia’s exports to the EU would be liberalized. It would eliminate, for two years, customs duties on a wide range of Armenian goods imported into the EU, including certain agricultural products.
