Reuters. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has arrived in the United States, footage released on Tuesday (July 28) showed, to meet with President Donald Trump and attend a memorial service for Senator Lindsey Graham.
Zelenskiy said anti-ballistic defence and strategic cooperation with the United States were the "number-one priority" for meetings with Trump and his team.
The two leaders, whose relations have improved in recent months, are expected to discuss the ongoing peace process between Russia and Ukraine and Kyiv's urgent air defence needs.
Zelenskiy's visit comes as Ukraine says it needs additional Patriot missile interceptors to help defend against Russian attacks.
