Preliminary discussions on the annual report “On the Execution of the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2025” have commenced at a joint session of the standing committees of the National Assembly of Armenia.
Presenting the 2025 budget execution report in the National Assembly, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated that state budget revenues amounted to AMD 2 trillion 886.5 billion in 2025, exceeding the 2024 figure by AMD 307 billion, or 11 percent, and surpassing the 2017 figure by 2.3 times, or AMD 1 trillion 648.8 billion.
“This is a figure that deserves special attention, because it records that, compared to 2017, the revenue side of the state budget in 2025 has doubled, meaning it has increased by about 135 percent. I believe this is a very significant and important indicator,” Pashinyan said, expressing gratitude for this result to the citizens of Armenia who work, create value, and pay taxes.
The Prime Minister once again emphasized that the state budget is the common family budget of the Republic of Armenia, and that each of us should treat the state budget accordingly.
“I also consider it necessary to emphasize that state budget expenditures have increased significantly as well, amounting to AMD 3 trillion 305 billion, which is more than double the 2017 figure, representing a 120 percent increase. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that capital expenditures have grown substantially, increasing by AMD 464.2 billion, or more than 2.9 times, that is, by 190 percent. I believe this deserves special attention, because these are the expenditures through which we implement the visible projects we talk about and take pride in,” he said.
The Prime Minister noted that, as a result of the high economic growth recorded in recent years, the level of capital expenditures in the economic and social sectors during 2025, including the subsidy component, increased by 3.5 times compared to 2018, more than tripling over the period.
