Regular elections to Armenia’s National Assembly have begun. All 2,005 polling stations across the country opened at 8:00 a.m. and started receiving voters.
The total number of voters included in the voter register stands at 2,485,851. Of these, 22,734 voters are registered at polling stations according to their place of residence, 492 voters have no registered address, 5,239 police officers have been assigned to polling stations, 627 voters are receiving inpatient medical treatment, and 8 voters are classified as having mobility difficulties.
Polling stations will remain open for 12 hours, until 8:00 p.m.
A total of 18 political forces are taking part in the parliamentary election: two electoral alliances and sixteen political parties.

Alliance Party had also registered to participate in the elections and had been assigned ballot number 13. However, the party later applied to the Central Electoral Commission requesting the cancellation of its registration.
