Azerbaijan and Slovakia plan to sign a package of documents aimed at expanding economic cooperation during the upcoming visit of Slovak President Peter Pellegrini to Baku, Slovak Ambassador to Azerbaijan Elchin Gasymov told Report.
"We currently have many projects under consideration, including within the framework of the Slovak president's official visit. Therefore, we plan to sign numerous documents specifically focused on economic cooperation," the ambassador said.
Commenting on negotiations over a proposed 10-year contract for Azerbaijani gas supplies, Gasymov noted that talks are currently being conducted at the expert level between Slovakia's state gas company and SOCAR.
"And, of course, our cooperation in the defense industry is also expanding," he added.
