The 2nd session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between Armenia and Vietnam was held in Yerevan on May 15. The intergovernmental commission was co-chaired by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan and Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang. The Armenian Foreign Ministry reported this.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of holding the session of the intergovernmental commission, discussed a number of issues on the bilateral agenda, and outlined the main directions for further cooperation. Both sides expressed readiness to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The parties held detailed discussions on the possibilities for expanding cooperation between Armenia and Vietnam in the fields of economy, trade, tourism, science, education, healthcare, high technologies, agriculture, and industry, and outlined the further steps of the intergovernmental commission aimed at implementing joint projects and expanding sectoral cooperation.
As a result of the negotiations, the protocol of the 2nd session of the intergovernmental commission was signed.
