In a
post marking the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, U.S. Senator Adam Schiff said Armenian communities around the world are commemorating 111 years since the systematic murder and displacement of 1.5 million Armenian women, men, and children by the Ottoman Empire between 1915 and 1923.
Schiff stated that more than a century later, the efforts to annihilate the Armenian people had failed, and stressed the importance of preserving the memory of those who were lost.
He reaffirmed his commitment to standing with Armenians across California and around the world in the fight for justice.
The senator emphasized that remembrance and continued advocacy remain essential in honoring the victims and ensuring that such atrocities are never forgotten.
