The Iranian Foreign Ministry’s spokesman made it clear that the transfer of Iran’s enriched uranium to another country has never been subject to negotiations, describing the country’s nuclear achievements as a matter of national pride and non-negotiable.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference on Monday, Esmaeil Baqaei said that just as Iran’s soil is considered sacred, so too is its enriched uranium,
Tasnim reports.
He added that both Iranian lives and Iranian assets are sacred, emphasizing that anything produced through the efforts, sacrifices, and blood of the Iranian people holds such a status.
The spokesman noted that Iran’s nuclear capability represents a symbol of national determination and effort to reach scientific heights, arguing that if it were not valuable, “enemies would not have committed so many crimes against Iran.”
Baqaei stressed that protecting these achievements is therefore of critical importance for the country.
He underlined that the issue of transferring Iran’s enriched uranium abroad “has never been raised as an option for us in negotiations.”
