The CSTO continues to monitor the situation in the Caucasus region of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and expects lasting peace after the Baku-Yerevan agreement, CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov said at a meeting of the organization’s Parliamentary Assembly Council in Moscow.
“We note encouraging trends aimed at signing an intergovernmental comprehensive peace agreement between the two countries. We believe that the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations is a reliable path to achieving lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus,” he was quoted as saying by Russian media.
