Slovakia is ready to block the next package of sanctions against Russia, Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar said.
"Slovakia plans to block the 20th package of sanctions against Russia until it is given guarantees for the resumed operation of the Druzhba oil pipeline," the Slovak newspaper Dennik quoted Blanar.
At the same time, Slovakia will raise no objections to a 90-billion-euro EU loan for Ukraine, he said.
Dennik reminded its readers that outgoing Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, whose party Fidesz lost in the elections last Sunday, blocked the loan. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said he would carry on Orban's policy.
