On March 30, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan met with the delegation led by the Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Remigijus Motuzas.
Welcoming the guests, Arman Yeghoyan emphasized that Armenia-Lithuania inter-parliamentary relations have become more active in recent years. The Committee Chair attached importance to bilateral cooperation on international platforms. However, according to Arman Yeghoyan, there is great potential for developing cooperation between the two countries in a number of areas.
The guests were interested in the process of Armenia's integration into the European family. Arman Yeghoyan presented details of the expanding Armenia-European Union cooperation, spoke about the process of EU visa liberalisation, valuing Lithuania’s support in this regard.
“Armenia is an important country for Lithuania. “We have historical commonalities,” the Chair of the Seimas Committee on Foreign Affairs said, expressing gratitude for the reception. Remigijus Motuzas also highlighted the importance of deepening bilateral cooperation.
Issues related to regional developments were also discussed.
