The Indian Prime Minister and the Iranian President had a telephone conversation to discuss the issue of the Strait of Hormuz. Narendra Modi stressed that India, which is one of the main beneficiaries of energy supplies through the Strait, is against the blockade of sea routes.
The parties also condemned the attacks on critical infrastructure in the region.
Masoud Pezeshkian had earlier stated that Tehran does not want to fight with its neighbors. According to him, only Israel benefits from the disagreements between the countries of the Middle East.
