A telephone conversation was held between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry announced this.
The regional situation and bilateral relations were discussed during the conversation.
Bayramov stressed the importance of completing the investigation in accordance with the promises made by Iran after the drone strikes in the Nakhijevan region.
In general, they stressed the need to avoid attacks on civilian targets during military operations, to stop the military escalation in the region as soon as possible, and to resolve the existing difficulties through diplomatic means.
The ministers also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
