“If we fail to achieve what we want in the region, then we cannot have any ambitions related to global processes. Today, the Armenian-Azerbaijani and Armenian-Turkish rapprochement processes are proceeding in parallel,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said during a panel discussion titled 'Shaping Eurasia’s Economic Identity' in Davos.
“Undoubtedly, these processes will be completed simultaneously, with the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Armenia, as well as between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” he added.
Aliyev also noted that a request had been received from the Armenian side regarding ensuring the transit of cargo from Armenia to Russia.
“Thus, we have de facto and unilaterally opened the corridors. It is true that transportation is currently carried out through the territory of Georgia, but one day it will be directly from Azerbaijan to Armenia and from Armenia to Azerbaijan, and that day is not far off,” the Azerbaijani President emphasized.
